RANCH MISSION STATEMENT:

C & J Alpaca Ranch is continuously striving to produce Beautiful, Healthy Alpacas with Exceptional fleece qualities, good conformation & choices of color.

"During this time of economic uncertainty, we feel the alpaca industry will need to also buckle down and hold steady. As our part in supporting the industry we are lowering our breeding fees (not lower quality but lower fees) and starting a mobile breeding service. We have grown quite fast and acquired some good quality animals and would like to share this with the rest of the industry."

Take a look good look through our website, and see if there is something or someone you have been looking for but not quite able to get because of pricing (you've got quite an assortment to choose from, and the price is right).

RANCH DESCRIPTION:

Originating in La Quinta, CA in 2006 with two young ladies; we are a young breeder couple with lots of excitement.

The small farm in Fort Collins, CO is progressing nicely, as over the summer we have built two of three phases of our Male Condo (Barn). It's a good thing because as of now we have acquired seventeen (17) of the most sort after bloodlines in the country and couldn't be happier.

The stud muffin "Konala" (a 2nd Gen. StudMaster from Glacial Storm) is well on his way to notoriety and possibly following in dad's (Glacial Storm) and Grand-dad's (PPPeruvian Augusto) paw prints.

Move over Stud Muffin, there's a new sheriff in town. Accoyo Prince Valiant (the new sheriff) is a product of StudMaster Paul Revere, of the famed Don Julio Barreda's B-line accoyos. His grandfather is the one and only 6Peruvian Accoyo Tsunami. This guy looks like he has the potential for stardom. Watch out when The Prince gets on the loose (starts breeding).

Since the addition of Prince Valiant, we have added a Royal Fawn Grandson - Peruvian Rocketman (LF); A 3/4 Accoyo out of Victor's Valedar - Peruvian Vangogh. These boys will began their breedings in the summer of 2008.

Additionally we have just purchased half interest in an El Nino son, Accoyo Rubicon (just over 2 yr. old). The Herdsire of this stunning male (PCA ACCOYO EL NINO) has been closed to outside breedings forever. This male can help you get El Nino's royal championship bloodline added to your herd.  Make your decisions to schedule a springtime breeding in early 2008 with this handsome young stud.

We have also added two (2) promising young boys Little Circle's Zephyrus (A Blue Ribbon Ribbon & Reserve Color Champion @ Fall Fest 07), an Accoyo Peruvian Legacy 6014 G-Son, and Everything's Alvarado - a PHA Accoyo Bentley(15.1 micron AFD fiber) son, (EL NINO G-Son). If these guys are true to their bloodlines, and anything like their parents we are in for a treat. Look out for these guys early next year 2008.

Now that all the dust has settled, let me introduce our newest female Eve. She is a dark Fawn, 1/2 accoyo out of Excalibur (a StudMaster Hemingway G171 son) and her mother's sire is PPeruvian Vengador G4568 - wow! She is going to be very good for our ranch and we expect great ciras from her. She is definitely one to watch. Great news, Eve delivered a gorgeous true black female. She is healthy as well as pretty. Now over two weeks old (pictures will be coming soon).

Since the addition of Eve, we have to let you in on a little secret. We have also purchased another female, named Miss Kringle. She is a half Accoyo girl from BDAP Kahuna ( a Camilio son). She has been successfully bred to full Accoyo American Achilles (an EL NINO Son) for an April/May 08 cria. Noelle is here (5/02/08). This girl will take your breath away. Starting with a micron count of 14.3; 4.5; 31.5; %o>30 1.2 (I know it's her baby fleece, and nothing to get excited about but it's a good starting point), and crimp forever.

Take a moment to see what bloodlines we have acquired so far, and you'll have a good idea where we think we're going.

I think we are off to a good start in trying to find the "Ideal Alpaca".

We are starting with a 2 stall barn on four acres. Comeback to visit us and see how fast our ranch grows and the champions we produce.

It is truly an exciting time when you can reap the benefits of your labors.

We failed to let you in on another addition to herd "The Master's Touch", who was bred in May 08 for an April 09 cira. She was bred to Brilliance OF Peru S855 from Alpacas Of America. Brilliance's sire Peruvian Ion sold 1/2 interest for around $600K. Brilliance himself sold for a few hundred thousand dollar (don't know the exact price).

Stay tuned to see what's happening here at C & J Alpaca Ranch, LLC.

Thanks for visiting us.

This is Selesta, the 1st breeder on the ranch. She is a beautiful girl with a very unique color tone. We are hoping she will be a producer of some beautiful crias.

This young lady is named Angelica. She is also a beautiful female that we expect a lot of good crias (baby) from. Angelica has delivered a gorgeous cria who we named Suephelia from AVC Dr. FeelGood.  She is very dense and quite crimpy. January 31st 2008 we were presented with a beautiful white female cira. All is healthy and fine and we are just ecstatic over this little girl.

Meet Eve, she is another star female we've added to our ranch. Being 1/2 accoyo with the lineage of PPeruvian Vengador G4568 and StudMaster Hemingway G171she has great bloodlines on both sides. We are so happy to have her as part of our herd. Boy, (No girl) is this cria pretty. A true black female by Eve and her date Expresso, they did well (09/25/08). Stay tuned to our website for updates.

Miss Kringle, is 1/2 Accoyo and sired by Camilo's BDAP Kahuna. She is bred to An EL NINO son - American Achilles for an April cria. Boy did they deliver, CJAR's Noelle was born 5/02/08. A 3/4 Accoyo and her fleece is fabulous (14.3 mic.), we'll see how long she can hold it.
